So what did i do ?

i created all the art for the second boss of the game! Environment, Props & Animations.
I had to learn the painterly style by studying vangogh and other iconic renaissance artists.

i created about 50% of the assets you’d get from the fishing area of the game.
most of these were not meant to look very realistic. some were based off real life fish but all were themed around their effects on the character

i helped out the ui/ux department by handling some of the smaller assets for them.
i created the health icons for the boss, the character, and the icons for the pre-fishing selections -
i helped with accessibilty design, keeping this in mind with the art. i passed the art made through multiple color blind filters to help make the game accesible. I also helped with the design of each of the bosses and their attack patterns.
additionally, i created the material tile used for the water; working in tandem with the programmer handling the shader for it.

when designing the environment i struggled with a few things:
keeping it simple, incorporating the painterly style, coloring flat walls
after some feedback back and forth with the boss fight designers we were both happy with this outcome with the platforms being the marble slabs. (:
